SPOILER-FREE STORY NOTES
Everyone heard the prayer. Someone knows the truth.
The Last Amen is a proposed original story, not a completed or scheduled film. Its starting point is a small community gathering meant to bring people together after a painful disagreement. The service ends; the difficult conversations do not.
At the centre is a volunteer who has become skilled at keeping the peace. She knows which subjects to change, which people to seat apart and which memories everyone prefers to leave untouched. An unsigned letter challenges the version of events she has been helping preserve.
The mystery would unfold through conversations and conflicting recollections rather than spectacle. A kind person may still conceal something. A correct accusation may still be delivered cruelly. The story asks what truthfulness looks like when the people affected are people you love.
Its Christian foundation is the possibility of repentance and grace without treating either as permission to avoid responsibility. The concept is being developed around forgiveness, courage and the difference between protecting a person and protecting a secret. No production date, cast, trailer or finished screenplay is being announced.
